Vincent Hurez, DVM, PhD is a Director in the Quantitative Pharmacology, Research and Development Sciences group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to joining Regeneron, Dr. Hurez was a Principal Scientist at Rosa & Co. LLC. leading collaborative efforts with biotech and pharmaceutical partners to develop QSP mechanistic Platforms addressing pre-clinical and clinical research questions in various diseases indications. Vincent trained as a veterinarian at Alfort National Veterinary School in Paris, France and then obtained a PhD in Immunology from University PARIS VII (Paris Cite). He studied B-cell and myeloid cell immunology as a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Max Cooper laboratory and regulation of T-cell activation as a junior faculty in Dr. Casey Weaver's laboratory at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He learned systems biology modeling at Entelos Inc. where he helped developed mechanistic models of chronic inflammatory diseases and oncology-related hematologic adverse events. He is the co-chair of a new ISOP QSP Immunology & Inflammation workgroup and is dedicated to promote the use of QSP and other modeling approaches to address clinical challenges in immune-related indications.
