Ana has over 24 years of Industry experience working with small and large molecules focusing on the therapeutic areas of oncology, virology, and Inflammation.
Ana joined Gilead Sciences in March 2022. Prior to joining Gilead, Ana led a Modeling and Simulation Group at Metrum Research Group. Her Industry experience includes Amgen, Sonus Pharmaceuticals, and Pfizer. She led the Pfizer Oncology Pharmacometrics Group, and her team was awarded several times for delivering high-quality work and closely collaborating with clinical, statistics, and translational medicine putting together solid and successful submission packages. Ana has worked on the quantitative aspects of more than 12 successful submissions (including small and large molecules) to different regulatory agencies.
Ana has mentored many junior scientists throughout her career holding a Pharm.D, a Masters in Statistics, and a Ph.D. in Quantitative Pharmacology. Furthermore, Ana holds a position as Assistant Clinical Professor at Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), has served as member of the ISoP Board of Trustees, and she is part of the PAGE Scientific Committee.
