J. Carl Panetta, PhD, is a biomedical pharmacometrician at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He received his PhD in applied mathematics from Old Dominion University. Following receiving his PhD, he was faculty in the Mathematics department at Penn State Erie. He then transitioned to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he has been for the past 25 years. While at St. Jude he has worked in various areas of pediatric oncology including population pharmacokinetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, and mechanistic pharmacodynamics modeling. Additionally, Dr. Panetta is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
