Nazanin Ahmadi is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Brown University, working under the supervision of Professor George Karniadakis, one of the most renowned mathematicians in the world. She specializes in systems biology and pharmacology modeling using Physics-Informed Networks (PINs). Her journey began with Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) for gray-box discovery and progressed to Fractional Physics-Informed Neural Networks (fPINNs) and PINNs for compartmental modeling, aimed at simplifying models without losing accuracy. Currently, she is working on deep sequence models to predict patient-specific drug efficacy. Her research focuses on AI for PK/PD (Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics) and PBPK (Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic) models.
