Haojie Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. He graduated from China Pharmaceutical University with a degree in Pharmacy and earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the same institution. Additionally, he holds an MBA from Nanjing University. Dr. Zhu was a licensed pharmacist and dentist in China. He completed his post-doctoral training in Pharmacogenomics and Pharmacokinetics at the Medical University of South Carolina. His research focuses on identifying genetic variants and environmental factors that affect the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various therapeutic agents through an integrated multi-omics approach, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. He uses these identified biomarkers to develop precision pharmacotherapy strategies aimed at maximizing efficacy while minimizing the risk of adverse effects.
