Diversity and management of differences. Group-decision making and the role of psychological safety in effective decision making

This session will describe the strengths of diversity and opportunities to leverage experiences, backgrounds and personal attributes to maximize performance. It will also describe non-violent approaches to managing differences. Participants will be encouraged to create a psychologically safe environment for employees to express their views particularly during decision making. We will finally discuss how Asch effects and Abilene paradox impair group decision making.
